Seeking Participants for Online Arthritis Study

Are you living with knee pain? Arthritis? or other inflammator conditions? Join a study to improive health resources for the community. Hosted by McMaster University. Participants will need to read and rate 6 online resources for knee osteoarthritis self-management by filling out surveys. The goal is to see if a tool called the PEMAT (the survey) gives reliable results when used by patients. Participants will receive $50 per hour for their time. The study has ethics approval from the Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board (project #14542).

Nutrition and Aging Study - University of Waterloo 

Extending the validation and reliability testing of SCREEN: A nutrition risk screening tool for community-living seniors. We are recruiting older adults for our study, which aims to see if a nutrition risk screening questionnaire works well for older adults living with memory loss.

FREE fall prevention education and gentle exercise sessions. Community Support Connections offers group classes in retirement homes, community settings and virtually. SMART™ trained Gentle Exercise facilitator staff-lead 45-60 minute sessions. No referral required. Drop-in, no registration required. Meet people, stay active! Everyone is welcome. Diabetes Fit Online

Starting the week of September 28th. FREE online Diabetes Fit program to build life changing habits from the comfort of your own home. Participate in guided exercise, build healthy eating habits, connect with others working towards similar health goals.

Access to a device and internet for video conferencing is required to participate. This program is hosted through ZOOM.

Neuro Fit

This program provides customized exercise support for individuals with conditions such as stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and spinal cord injury. Exercise adaptations are available for those using cane, walkers or wheelchairs. Mindfulness Activities Through Art-- Dots to Mindfulness

Empowerment, fulfillment, and enjoyment through hands-on VIRTUAL workshops. 

Join Roxana and learn Dot-Painting to help your mind stay focused and grounded. The process of dot painting helps you explore self-expression, gain personal self-esteem and new coping skills. During this virtual one hour workshop you will be guided to create a beautiful piece that will give you a sense of accomplishment and self-satisfaction. No background in drawing or painting required. Yoga for Young Adults Affected by Cancer

12-week yoga program with classes 2 times/week, delivered via Zoom. Participants can expect a gentle yoga class instructed by trained yoga professionals, that can be modified to all abilities. As part of the study, participant will also complete physical assessments via Zoom, online questionnaires, and may be invited for an interview at pre-specified time points.
