Host a Workshop
We can help your organization host your next self-management workshop. Most workshops and related expenses are covered through our program.
Host a Community Self-Management Workshop:
Self Management helps individuals feel more empowered in their healthcare journey. You can host one of our Take Charge! programs or a Getting the Most from your Healthcare Appointment.
When you host a community workshop we will supply:
- All Workshop Materials
- Help to promote the workshop
- Support registration, if needed
- Provide trained Peer Leaders, or provide training for staff or volunteers from your organization
A minimum of 15-25 participants are required for community workshops. Host locations are selected based on geographical distribution, availability of leaders, and other factors within the Waterloo-Wellington Region.
Host a Healthcare Provider Workshop:
Our program offers learning opportunities for your staff. Our healthcare provider workshops help to teach self management support skills such as communication, motivational interviewing and more. These programs would be a closed group available only to your organization/team.
When you host a healthcare provider workshop we will supply:
- All workshop materials
- Trained leader
- Help with registration, if needed
Please note: a minimum of 15 participants are required for healthcare provider workshops. Workshop availability is dependant on leader availability. Workshops can be delivered in person (Waterloo Wellington region) or via Zoom based on organizational preference.
